CBO Final Estimate of Republican AHCA: The Marginalized lose and the Wealthy Win
This graph is in the report released May 24, 2017 by the Congressional Budget Office. It clearly demonstrates that our current Republican representatives who wrote, supported, and voted twice for this bill (actually once for a slightly better version, then again for a more repressive version) are not serious about reducing the federal deficit. They are only serious about reducing Medicaid spending and reducing taxes for people with investment incomes. Notice $834 Billion is taken from Medicaid and $664 Billion is given to taxes on high income people, fees imposed on manufacturers, and excise taxes enacted under the Affordable Care ACT (ACA). Includes modification of various tax preferences for medical care.
